LG Energy Solution has begun production at its new $2 billion Lansing, Michigan, battery plant. The 226-acre facility will manufacture LFP cells for utility, commercial, and industrial energy storage, alongside NMC cells for Toyota electric vehicles. Once fully operational, the plant is expected to provide more than 35 GWh of annual capacity. The facility currently employs 900 workers, with plans to expand to 1,700 employees.
