Microchip The Microchip ATSHA204A is a full turnkey security device. It includes a 4.5Kb EEPROM divided into 16 slots. This array can be used for storage of keys, miscellaneous read/write, read-only, password or secret data, and consumption tracking. Access to the various sections of memory can be restricted in a variety of ways and then the configuration locked to prevent changes.Access to the chip is through a standard I²C interface at speeds up to 1Mb/sec. The chip also supports a single-wire interface that can reduce the number of GPIOs required on the system processor and/or reduce the number of pins on connectors. It is compatible with most UART or serial I/O controllers. System integration is eased with a wide supply voltage range and an ultra-low sleep current of less than 100nA.

Microchip The TC4427A is improved versions of the earlier TC4427 family of MOSFET drivers. In addition to matched rise and fall times, the TC4426A/TC4427A/TC4428A devices have matched leading and falling edge propagation delay times. These devices are highly latch-up resistant under any conditions within their power and voltage ratings. They are not subject to damage when up to 5V of noise spiking (of either polarity) occurs on the ground pin. They can accept, without damage or logic upset, up to 500 mA of reverse current (of either polarity) being forced back into their outputs. All terminals are fully protected against Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) up to 4 kV. The TC4427 MOSFET drivers can easily charge/discharge 1000 pF gate capacitances in under 30 ns. These devices provide low enough impedances in both the on and off states to ensure the MOSFET’s intended state will not be affected, even by large transients.

Microchip The Microchip AVR core combines a rich instruction set with 32 general purpose working registers. All the 32 registers are directly connected to the Arithmetic Logic Unit (ALU), allowing two independent registers to be accessed in one single instruction executed in one clock cycle. The resulting architecture is more code efficient while achieving throughputs up to ten times faster than conventional CISC microcontrollers. The ATmega16A provides the following features: 16Kbytes of In-System Programmable Flash Program memory with Read-While-Write capabilities; 512bytes EEPROM; 1Kbyte SRAM; 32 general purpose I/O lines, 32 general purpose working registers; a JTAG interface for Boundary-scan; On-chip Debugging support and programming; three flexible Timer/Counters with compare modes; Internal and External Interrupts; a serial programmable USART; a byte oriented Two-wire Serial Interface, an 8-channel; 10-bit ADC with optional differential input stage with programmable gain (TQFP package only); a programmable Watchdog Timer with Internal Oscillator; an SPI serial port; and six software selectable power saving modes. The Idle mode stops the CPU while allowing the USART; Two-wire interface; A/D Converter; SRAM; Timer/Counters; SPI port; and interrupt system to continue functioning. The Power-down mode saves the register contents but freezes the Oscillator, disabling all other chip functions until the next External Interrupt or Hardware Reset. In Power-save mode, the Asynchronous Timer continues to run, allowing the user to maintain a timer base while the rest of the device is sleeping. The ADC Noise Reduction mode stops the CPU and all I/O modules except Asynchronous Timer and ADC, to minimize switching noise during ADC conversions. In Standby mode, the crystal/resonator Oscillator is running while the rest of the device is sleeping. This allows very fast start-up combined with lowpower consumption. In Extended Standby mode, both the main Oscillator and the Asynchronous Timer continue to run.
